Has anyone used "inspect my ride" before buying a used car?

I have no personal experience with "Inspect my Ride" but I researched it and you might want to read up at: http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/inspect-my-ride-inspectmyridecom-horrible-service-c595009.html That site and others have posts...well decide that for yourself..I have no stake in it. Carfax is a long proven reliable source, that I do know.

thanks guys.. i should have added i am looking to drive 600 miles to do a trade so i was hoping to get it looked at before i got everything in place.

inspect my ride was a good, fair, fairly comprehensive inspection. You got a lot of images, a test drive from an experienced inspector and more importantly you would know if the car has been repainted on any of the panels or replaced. The inspectors will find out if the car has been in an accident minor or major and if it was repaired by today's standards in the industry. You will get a comprehensive list of equipment and know if it works properly. Carfax is useful in limited knowledge of the vehicle. They will give you how many owners last reported mileage and ANY ACCIDENTS REPORTED TO THEM. That is the glitch...only is their guarantee good if it was REPORTED TO THEM. It shows service to the vehicle only if at a dealer that reports to them. Helpful but not even close to a good inspection. People lie about their cars for sale...Inspect my ride and others can find the truth. Paul...a 9 year inspector for them and other companies.
