Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm a Phlebotomist and I'm 19 and
still living at home and going to a
community collage and my parents
are paying for school but right now
I'm bringing home around $2,000 a
month and I have a good about if
money set aside for a down payment
I want to get a CPO car and finance
it for 48 months and I don't want to
pay any more than 32,000 so what is
the best choice for me? I'm aware
my insurance is gonna be high and
so is my car payment I know I'm
probably looking at around $900 or
&1,000 a month on just car payment,
insurance, gas, phone bill
(Keep in mind I'm still living at home
tell I get out of collage) and I'm only a
freshmen in collage so that won't be
soon so witch car is the best as far
as

Reliable, gas, comfort, style, and
best in rain and snow I'm looking into
getting a 4wd

Hi Californiaman15 I understand you are looking to buy a certified used car. I own a BMW 328i coupe and have had it for the last 5 years (Actually trying to sell it on this site), there is no machine built like a BMW. Audi A4 is a close second but lacks the engine power available in the 328i. I have not had the experience of driving a Cadillac CTS but the c300 does not comes close. The BMW is unmatched in its reliability, its control in fast speeds, road noise reduction and road handling. The list might be longer but these are some ofthe things I have personally experienced. When i was buying I was considering the above cars as well but instead of the cadi I had the lexus is 250 on my list; drove them all. I would go to their show rooms every week end for 3 consective months. The one day I was at the BMW show room making myself a coffee and an old sales man walked up to me and said 'son do you know it costs more to maintain that coffee machine than a BMW for the first 4 years'. I got to know BMW has zero cost maintenece for the first 4 years or 50 k miles and i was plannign to pay it off in 4 years too so made most sense. Get the BMW 328 xi coupe, you will enjoy it. Good Luck.

@omarshabbir really?!?! I'm super surprised about the upkeep! So what about oil change?!? What does that generally cost? I drive a 2003 Volkswagen beetle diesel now and the oil change on that cost me anywhere between $80-100 so what does that cost you? If I may ask. And tires? Ect... How often do you change your oil? And I want a sedan but the coupe looks so much nicer! But the BMW 128i crossed my mind as well but I like the convertible in the 1series! :/ I just don't know which one to choose?

Still undecided about what to buy..hmm? Last time you posted something, it was about the Nissan Juke...guess you decided to go much more upscale? I'll be brutally honest with you...You buy ANY of those cars at your age and you will be paying out the wazoo for insurance (unless going under your parent's is an option) and you REALLY won't be able to save any real $$ to move out and get your own place in 4-5 years or so. These cars will keep you grounded and living with Mom & Dad much longer than you probably want. Imagine being 23 or 24 years old and meeting a pretty girl in a bar (or elsewhere)....NOW imagine the look on her face when you say YOUR place isn't an option...Just sayin' :)

for the first 4 years no cost for maintainence period, no cost for oil change. Tyres i am not sure sure about, if those aer covered ni the same warranty but brakes are. I changed my brakes and rotars at around 40 k miles cost me around 700, the warranty had finised by then; I had my tyres under warranty they still are so never paid for those. But a 4 set will cost you around 500 to 600.

@racer_X I totally know Where you were coming from but 1. Yes I am on my parents insurance and I pay them monthly for my insurance anyway and 2. Now that I'm a Certified phlebotomist I'm in c

@racer_X (Sorry don't know how that happened) But I'm in med school at the moment and my parent prefer me to live at home so I don't have a rent to pay and I can keep my loan paid for faster and 3. I'm they type of guy that wants to get out of school and find a job being a doctor then look for a lady. Trust me I have my plan. :) I appreciate your concern but the reason why I changed to more of a upscale car is because my car at the moment was acting up and I was gonna have to get something cheap cuz my only job was a host at a restraint but now that I'm a Certified phlebotomist in my area I'm making $15-20 an hr. and living at home and going to collage is all I do so I basically have a good enough paying job since I really don't have much of anything else to pay for but the car I truly want! :) and I've always wanted a BMW or Mercedes. My mother had a red 2008 Mercedes c300 and she hated it cuz the seats where uncomfortable so she traded it in for a 2013 Lincoln Mks and she loves it :) but I loved her Mercedes and my brother in law had a 2006 BMW 325i and I also loved it! Plus I've always wanted one since I was a little kid lol but what I'm saying is its my dream car to have and I don't wanna wait to get it especially of I'm living at home making the money that I do and I could have the car payed off before I get out of collage :)
