My 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby with 2.4 L turbo engine  shows zero pressure on Oil gauge at idle . As soon as I rev it back above 800 rpm pressure returns to normal. Car runs strong. I have had since new with 90,000 miles on it. What should I check?

First check that your oil pressure gauge is accurate by substituting a known good one temperally. If you are due for an oil change, change it and see if that helps. Check your oil level. Is it overfull or low? If overfull it will foam inside the oil pan and cause low pressure. If all these things check out you may be looking at an early warning sign of bearing failure! HTH. -Jim
