Why do Dodge diesel 2500 trucks come with 17" tires and rims and is it okay to put 20"?

Dunno why they come with 17's. probably cuz its cheaper. But yes 20's will fit just fine

Probably because it is cheaper like he stated.. It is okay, just make sure the tires you're installing with them match the same rollout factor as the stockers or your speedometer will be off.. Also, make sure it won't mess with your TPMS sensors or you'll have the stupid tire pressure light come on if you have one
