hey john i have an 82 camaro that i put a 350 motor in it. i also added an electrical fuel pump instead of the mechanical pump. when i start my car she sounds great and i will put it in drive and start down the road she'll run great for about 2 miles then she sounds like its choking and dies. when i try to restart it in nuetral thers times it will run a lil rough and die when it is put in gear or there are times it won't start back up. what are your suggestions 3 Answers

Why is it so hard to start my car? I have 98,000 miles on it and I just had the timing chain and fuel pump and fuel filter replaced. I can't get it started usually in the cold months. It keeps turning over but it takes sometimes 45 minutes of trying to start it before it gets started. I have tried using starting fluid but it still takes a long time. Once I get it started it is fine for the rest of the day. It will start right up. But if I let it sit overnight it will have the same problem in the morning. I also just put a new alternator and battery in it and all the trying to start it is just wearing the battery down to where I have to hook the jumper cables up to another car to try and get it started. Hello I have a 2001 chevy cavalier and yesterday morning I tried to start my car and turned over the key and it did absolutely nothing. There was no clicking or winding noises only noise I heard was my fuel pump kicking on. All my lights are working normal and so is my radio. I tried jumping it just to make sure it wasn't an issue with my battery but it still wouldn't start. What could be the problem? 9 Answers
