94 lexus gs 300 wouldn't start at first now starts after change in spark plugs and valcover gasket, oil was getting into the spark chamber.....it starts but won't stay on and smoke comes out of one tail pipe .... What could be the plroblem....the fuel pump. Was just changed also. Thanks in advance

1998 beetle. Went for oil change. As soon as they completed it my check engine light came on. They checked code, was some emmissions code. Okay so the light goes out 2 days later. A few days later the car wont start, like it is out of gas, it's turning but not catching. I let it sit for 1/2 hr then it starts and the engine light back on. Everything fine for a few days then the same thing happens out of the blue. Just happened again to me. Car was fine, no light on then i go somewhere, park it, get back in and it wont start like its out of gas...let it sit for half hour and then it starts like nothing was wrong and the engine light back on now. What could be wrong? I am not out of gas. Did the guy doing the oil change/new filter mess something up? 6 Answers

hello, zac here. my parents have a 1998 ford windstar and im wondering what some problems with it could be. i was told they were driving down the road yesterday and something happen idk what but something happen and then theres oil squirting in the back of the engine and white smoke coming from the engine. i went to take a look at it yesterday and the whole back side of the engine wall is covered in oil and on the valve cover gasket was a hole and that was the first place i saw smoke, found the plug and plugged it in, problem one solved. but then started driving it for 20 minutes after letting it warm up, it was smoking heavy from the tail pipe loss power then popped the hood and now the white smoke if coming from the left side by the alternator, in this location but underneath by the belts and what not. im going to look at it today to see if i can jack it up and look underneath to see what going on. any ideas, 3 Answers

My 1996 Nissan Sentra GXE automatic GA16DE acts like it's trying to turn over but it won't start. I've already tested the battery, it's good, also cleaned the battery terminals; replaced the fuel pump relay, change the spark plugs in Sept 2018 & checked them after this problem started for any cracks, changed the spark plug wires, the rotor & distributor, the car still won't start. I can hear the fuel pump when I turn the switch on. Any ideas on what else could be the cause of the engine not engaging to start? Thank you. 1 Answer

1999 Honda CR-V will not start. I changed the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator along with the fuel filter and the main relay but the vehicle still will not start. The distributor along with the coil was replaced about two months ago, spark is ok. Sometimes the vehicle start for a few second but the engine stalls as if the timming is off but the timing is ok, also sometimes it back fires and when it does the vacuum hose that is connected to the fuel pressure regulator comes off from the regulator. I check the injectors and they are getting power. I disconnected the exhaust thinking of the catalytic but still no start. Could it be the computer? Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thanks 8 Answers
