2000 cavalier shifter cable bushing.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dorman help kit #14041 has the
bushing you need. Its costs less than
$8. 5 bushings in kit, 1 white and 4
off white. You'll need the second
smallest of the 4 like colors. Drill out
with a 15/64 bit, fits perfect over
stud. Make sure all of the old bushing
has been removed from the cable.
Press bushing into cable and use a
small pair of pliers to seat it. It's a
perfect fit as well.  Place it on stud
and your done. Saved yourself an
ass-pocket full of loot!! It will cost
parts and labor $200-300 to replace
cable as they don't sell the bushing
by itself. Hope this helps someone.
