2007 chevrolet aveo heater is not putting out as much heat as it use to what can cause this

A thermostat that is stuck partly open may cause that. Watch the temperature gauge on the dash. If it doesn't go up as high as it used to your thermostat is stuck. Replace it with the required 195°F unit. A partly clogged heater core will cause that too because hot coolant can't pass through it efficiently to provide heat. One final thing is the cable that goes from the temperature control knob to the heater box may now be worn & out of adjustment. This cable operates a door inside the heater box to regulate the temperature of the air coming into the passenger compartment. HTH. -Jim
