Not sure what vehicle your talking about, but usually you can tell if a fan motor has bad bearings by spinning it. The fan should spin freely, make no noise and come to a slow stop.

The fan should spin freely, make no noise and come to a slow stop. This means that ther is nothin wrong with your fan if it does all of this.
