Again i have another question about my 1966 pontiac catalina ...i was wondering about the gears in the rear end , they are very hi meaning somewhere around 250 or so , i would like to be around 350 but can not find any gear that will fit this type of rear end so can a chevy rear end be installed with better gears or is it not worth it

According to my Mitchell Interchange Manual '65 & '66 Pontiac only. '65 & '66 Oldsmobile will direct swap with your springs. The '65 & '66 Olds and Pont. are unique to those two years. If a rear end shop (works on mainly differentials and transaxles) is near, you should talk to them a gear set may be available for your diff. Good luck. -dragcar-
