1990 eldorado code E049. besides diverter valve which has been discontinued and unavailable new or salvaged, other possible causes.

heard many horror stories of changing diverter valve and still throwing code E049. i've heard anything from leaky injector to vacuum leak and more. dealers i contacted do not want to work on a car older than 10 years. right now my car is running well, maybe a slight miss, injector? any help appreciated. thanks. check out how clean motor is, 68,000 miles
