What is a stroker engine?
1 Answer
Marc answered 8 years ago
A 'Stroker' engine is a motor that has greater than stock displacement due to an increase in the factory crank throw. An increase in crank throw increases stroke (the difference between the piston's top dead center and bottom dead center position). Basically, they have more torque. Usually the point of them is not to get a bigger block, just displace the cylinders so they have a bigger bore and stroke
