btwn Toyota landcruiser,, Land Rover TDi and H2 Hummer which performs better ofroad?
That really depends on which landcruiser or landrover, but i am cerain that the H2 Hummer is the worst one of the lot. a Land Rover Defender 2.4 TDI is a really good truck but it has no power on the road. Land Cruiser is probably the best one of the lot. The Landcruiser 45, 60, 70, 80, and 90 are the best options. I live in Iceland, so we have a lot of snow, gravel, mud and rocks and i have a Toyota Landcruiser 70. with a 2.4l petrol engine. my father has a Toyota landcruiser 90 converted to 38" tiers (icelandic modifications) which is near impossible to get stuck in iceland. choosing between these three cars really depends on the price you want to pay. the landcruiser 60 and 80 are regarded as one of the best offroaders in the world. The hummer is not. please reply to me what ground you are thinking of and what price and i could possibly be at further assist. with regards bragi
i was thinking about African Outback terrain. the merciless kind where you have road bumps the size of anthills.
H2 by far out of these. very capable truck. im trying to buy one right now actually because you can go about anywhere in one without a worry (except for running out of gas)
the land cruiser is solid and unbreakable i live in the arizona desert and while hummers are popular land cruisers are better and land rovers are about tied with hummer
i hope that your replies r based not only on performance but on easeof maintennance n availability of spares. That in mind, H2 is officialy outta contention.
for lowest maintainance you should absloutly not go for a hummer H2. að landrover defender or a toyota landcruiser is an better option the landcruiser would be my first choise what sort of terrain is african outback terrain ? loose sand? twigs on the road? if so why dont you just get a subaru or something. but please anything than that stupid H2 crap
i got to thinking about my answer and then i got to thinking about the question. an h2 is a luxury vehcile basically. you should be comapring the original hummer with these other vehicles. and then hummer is the best.
H2 is basically an Suburban on meds. don't know what year landcruiser you are referring to, but the earlier versions were hard core off roaders, latest ones are luxo-queens, but a very good ride. As far as serious off road'n is concerned Land Rover rocks! LR3 weighs too much (double chassis: body on frame and uni-body in one..why I don't know..maybe that's why LR4 is coming out) old Discovery, piece of cr*p. Range Rover.. it'll do the rough roads.. doing 5 MPH. The best off road'n Land Rover is the Defender!
landcruiser all the way. fraction of the price of the other two and more practical for offroading. cheaper to repair. no brainer.
h2 is a no brainer! dont even go their its shit!!! but the landcruiser and the land rover are so very similler with regards to their off road capabilitys! their both just as good as each other but it depends on what looks better for you
Rover and Land Cruiser were built for off-road. The H2 is a poser that has no real lineage to the H1 which definitely would be a contender if you aren't worried about comfort and don't mind wearing ear plugs when you drive.
