NO!!! It's the most expensive and that's it... Ultima Aero TT beats it at top speed and horsepower... around the ring, fastest lap time it keeps changing hands between the Dodge Viper SRT10-ACR and the Vette' ZR1, I'm not sure who's on top right now. For the love of god I'm sick of seeing this question, and then seeing the wrong answer...

easy adam me too... haha... it is still the SRT10 ACR but it was not run on a street legal setup...

Agreed!...This is way too subjective and capable of several "correct" possible answers.

It is the new Porsche 9ff and it has 1220 hp and can go up to 262 mph

240

The 2008 SSC Ultimate Aero TT with a top speed of 255 mph. The Viper and ZR1 are fastest in he USA only maxing at 210 to 215 mph

240

Ultimate Aero TT is faster the veyron only geld the record for 2 months before the Aero TT beat it

16,745

Really... and the new Aero's haven't been tested to top speed yet. The reduced rotating mass and reduced drag coefficient put it very capable of speeds in excess of 270 mph... Whoever finally tests and beat the Aero will hold it only until SSC puts a new one on the track :-\

16,745

I don't mean to burst your bubble but the Aero is an American made car and is street legal :-\

This is an off topic discussion; she can ask what she pleases. There isn't a reason to be sexist about it. Grow up!

Maybe the question ya'll should ask is: Whats the fastest car we CAN afford? XD

25

find a junk yard 1972 detomaso pantere or xke---that we might afford

... lessons lesson lessons... the aero TT hit 257mph but im glad you got the right car pegged... Neither the ZR1 or Viper will pass 202mph... not in standard trim and the viper wont be close in race trim... the gearing and aerodynamic inefficencies (used to generate downforce) slow the car down too much... The ZR1 just topped 200.5mph and the Viper falls short of that in any trim i have seen sofar from the factory... I have seen a aero modified but otherwise stock 2008 viper go to about 207mph the other cars i would draw attention to are the Ford GT which will hit 212mph and hit the governor... (222mph without) and the SALEEN S7TT which honestly hits a HUGE aero wall at 235mph... the car is too edgy in the design department if it were smoothed out though i wouldnt put it past a 255mph top speed...

Hahaha... back seat size is important for when us young guys have to take it slow. hence why I don't like Motorcycles probably. :-)

She didnt ask what was the worlds fastest street legal car or one we can afford but i do know that the worlds quickest street legal car is the (Pre-Tax)1970 Vauxhall Victor With A BHP Of 2200..0-60 Time Of 1.0 Second..Quarter Mile 7.8 Seconds With A 9.3L Engine With Twin Turbos BUT The Worlds Fastest Car Is On This Video..No Its Not Finished But When It Is .. Oh Boy!! http://dvice.com/archives/2008/10/worlds_fastest.php

ur links broken... and really im sure she meant stock... and there are faster cars now... i know the car your talking about well... The engine was amazing in its day but its a little old now... I have worked on a couple drag car engines (all the way to 2800hp estimated as you cant really test that accuretley...) Its a 7.9 litre Twin charged engine... we dont have a 0-60 but it does the quarter in 7seconds flat... hell my buddy has a 88 capri with a 600ci engine in it that he has a personal best of 7.44s... and it can be driven on the street... We have a 11.4 litre engine at the shop that is generating about 1400hp NA and were estimating about 3300hp when tuned, blown, and timed properley... its not really useful for anything though... its too big to be discrete in anything and too torquey to drive on the street without stickeys... so its kinda just for show haha...

this is pretty quick... although i dont think its street legal... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKQ-xj5C2m8&feature=related

what about a dagger gt.... 2000 hp and up to 315 mph and it could end up being a street legal car
