Question type: Car Customization

how many valves does my DOHC v-6 have???

2 Answers

I believe 24... Pull a valve cover off and count how many per piston and multiply by 6 to know for sure...

it can have 12, 18, 24 or some motors as much as 30. Depending on the make of engine. A DOHC V6 generally has one cam per bank which means its running 2 valves per cylinder. Some have a lifter attached to drive 2 Exhaust valves which make it 3 per bank.
