I need to search for SUV’s manufactured in North America. The VINS would
start with 1 through 5. I can’t figure out how to search on the VIN

That's correct. The first character of the VIN is the country of origin. I know 1 is The United States and 2 is Canada. That's for VINs 1981 and newer though. 1980 and older the country of origin is not in the VIN. Jim
