Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car recently went to the shop over my
shifter being in park but was stuck on neutral
the shifter wouldn't budge for nothing the car
had power but wouldn't turn to start they fixed
it saying it was some pin for the gears broke
put new one on ran fine for that day. Got the
car out 1 day ago drove around local to run
arrunds and I'm stuck with the key in ignition
and it doesn't have power but the shifter will
shift... I put brand spankin new battery before
took to the shop it's had new starter put in it.
Any knowledge of why what's going on here?
Thanks any advice be appreciated

Check the wiring near the shifter and wherever they were working. There's a solenoid that must be energized to allow you to turn the key to the lock position so you can remove the key. Or if you're saying you have no power in the vehicle at all now, start by checking the battery cable connections and the big fuses in the underhood fuse box. I would also call the shop who just did the repair and let them tow it in and fix it, again, for free! Hope that helps! Jim
