Starter won't kick out after the engine starts what's wrong?

What's wrong with a starter
when it stays engaged after the
engine starts I replace the
ignition switch

Okay Chrysler product. Starter solenoid stuck closed, crossed wires in the start circuit, make sure the ignition switch is installed correctly.
