Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The time jumped in my Suzuki and I had to have everything
replaced as far as the engine and transmission and now I
have to replace the computer and I need to know if I
actually have to reprogram it or if a plug and play computer
is an option and if I do have to reprogram it what tools are
necessary to get that done

Some high end shops have the ability to flash program a computer, the problem I see is you have a vehicle that is no longer serviced by a dealer, so if you can’t find a independent shop that has the equipment your out of luck. I do remember that there were some parts stores that had an R&R service for computers, might be something to look into if all else fails.
