From what I remember any of the motors will be V-TEC variable timing with more things that can go wrong at times , The one type of engine to avoid is a high fuel pressure one where the lines feeding the injectors are separate for each injector coming from a single unit instead of feeding a single fuel rail , But generally hondas are good vehicles in the long run , you should go with the OEM factory parts which can be pricey , but you won't have a P.O.S.
