98 Dodge Dakota with 3.9 won't go forward in any of the forward gears

Need to figure out why it won't go forward in any
Ford gears it got reverse but no forward

I'd say the tranny's bad but take it to a good shop and see what they say , if you want .

It's possible the rear drum brakes are binding up only in drive , or maybe the front calipers , but I doubt it . See if it'll roll in neutral .

A good transmission shop is your best bet here. Could be a bad transmission but it could also be a gear selector switch or control module. A transmission shop can do stand alone tests and then tell want is going on.
