Need help trying to get back into my 2005 Sonata with a dead car battery.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Hyundai Sonata that I can't seem to get my doors to unlock. I
haven't driven it in a couple months since I purchased another car and the
battery has died on me. With the car battery dead, I can't use my key fob and
for some reason, I can't get the doors to open with the physical key either. I
can unlock the trunk however and have attempted to go in through the back
seat, but I can't even get them to release either. I am trying NOT to damage it
because I want to sell it. Can anybody help me figure out how I can gain
entry back into it so I can at least jump the battery? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Disconnect the wire running from battery to starter at the starter, then use jumper cables (positive on that wire) and negative to frame will give enough power to use the fob
