Bait and switch ????

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Ok so I got preapproved for via your sight with Westlake for financing for a min
van... i contacted several dealers.. Gillmans for one ... the response We want
you to come in to select a vehicle from one of our hundreds of vehicles on the
lot... ie they do not have the vehicle i asked about but want me to come get a
different vehicle, and they'll arrange financing of there own wtf???

Ok so updates on the bait an switching.... I have now been informed by multiple dealers that Car Gurus is unreliable... and that they the dealers are not responsible for Car Gurus being unable or unwilling to pull incorrect listings... Further they have said that the credit approvals available via Car gurus in particular westlake is a joke... I have yet to find any dealer that will honor the listings on car gurus in the Houston area... So that being said I am wondering how Car Gurus pays for itself? do the dealers pay for listings? or is strictly based on advertising ?
