Why does my gas cap not click

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My cars check engine light came
on the code was p0455 thought it
was gas cap so bought new one
and it doesnt click either are
these gas caps supposed to
click?

The new cap does say turn to click like the old one ive drove it bout 130 miles with new cap no check engine light yet
