Dodge Journey 2017 or 2016 can't remember

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My brother was pumping up my tire with one of those
cigarette outlet pumps. The air pump stopped and we
noticed smoke coming from the cigarette outlet and from
the passenger fuse box. The center dash went out on the
dodge journey. When we tried to turn the car on the
windshield wipers were activated and would not turn off.
So I found several fuse blown with the inside fuse box and
had to take out the main relay for the wipers, from the
engine fuse box. That stopped the wipers but will start
again when the relay is inserted. Also when I replaced the
cigarette outlet fuse it blew almost immediately.  Is there a
fuse or relay that controls all these things that may need to
be replaced? Could not pull codes either. Will the fuse box
itself need to be replaced? Also the person that installed
his speakers ran two wires through the cigarette lighter
fuse, was also a cause for the power serge? Thank you for
any help and advise

I think you burned up some wires and have a short circuit. Check the wire to the lighter first.

Agree, you should look for melted wiring or harness connectors. You can find suitable pieces or wire harness at a local salvage yard for replacements.
