I have a Whine sound in my 4runner engine. Is this normal?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 2016 4runner has an audible whine to it when i
accelerate. Just replaced a couple belt pullys but its still
there at 2500rpm and above. It sounds like a sewing
machine instead of a truck. Dealership can't figure it out.
Is this normal or?

Without being able to hear it, I can't help. Try a contacting a local mechanic to listen.

thank you, but should there be any sort of whining sound? this isn't an engine roar, it sounds like a loud sewing machine or turbo whine (there's no turbo). Do 4runners naturally sound like that?
