Power went out on my 2013 Ford Taurus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 Taurus lost power after getting hit on the driver
side. I turned off the engine after the accident but I heard a
lot of clicking noise. After exchanging info with the other
driver the whole car didn't have power. Is this a safety
feature? How do I reset?

yes actually, ford for a long time has put in a "kill switch" in the likelihood of an accident. there should be a red button next to the internal fuse box that you can push and it will restore power. I use to have an expedition that would flip the switch if the battery died

I think that's what it's called, ford is notorious for that switch and if you were in an accident that started making a ticking sound in your engine bay, chances are it was flipped
