Who has the highest mileage on there SONATA??
ive got just under 70,000 miles
I had 101000kms ( 63125miles) at the time of selling the car.
Just hit 75000 on a 2006
330,000 2001 sonata 2.4
that is km btw. Exhaust system original, changed pads and shoes once, timing belt 3 times. But sensors are killing me.
Around 210k Miles, 2001 2.4
got only 83500 kilo on a 2002 2.7 GLS
i have a little over 33000 miles on a 2009 GLS after over a year of ownership.
Have you experienced any unsatisfactory technical problems, and if so, what were they?
I am at 135,000 miles.
wow.. got you all beat so far. My 2006 Sonata v6 is at 418,000km. Not too many issues.. brakes changed once, battery changed once.. many tires. lol
2005 V-6 GLS 178,5000. Gas mileage better than ever, doesn't use a drop of oil.
I have a 2002 Sonata (manufactured in 2001) and I just passed the 245,000 mark the other night. So happy and proud.
2006 Sonata V-6 GLS - bought new, now 455,000 miles; replaced the alternator - other than that, tires, brakes, struts. Runs fine.
My goodness, Calthrop!!! Just where are you driving to? LOL Since my post, I'm now up to 252k+, almost 253k.
I have over 370,000 in my 2010 Sonata. Purrs like a kitten. Original engine and transmission. No mechanical problems at all.
My Hyundai Sonata 2004 has 160,000 and I hope that with proper maintenance I can have it last as long as Calthrop!
My hyundai Sonata 2011 is at 215,000 miles and going strong!!
Adding to my last answer, I just reached 270,000 miles on my 2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS 2 weeks ago.
I have a 2010 Sonata updated mileage to date. 419,000 miles. Running strong. Original parts, engine and transmission
Just where are you driving to?
220,000 Miles, 2007 Veracruz drives excellent, looks still as great as the day driven out of the show room. I am the only owner and extremely happy with this car
193,516 2006 SONATA
2010 make.. new model as 2011 Sonata only 320K Kms. Battery, brakes and other consumables only changed. Happy clocking more miles guys!!
I drive a 2010 Sonata. I currently have 194,715 Miles on it. I've had very few issues. 1 New battery, 1 New fuel pump, Needs a new fuel sensor, and has had many tires.
I have a 2011 Sonata SE 2.4 in excellent condition with 381,000 miles and will be over 400,000 miles by year end.
2003 Hyundai Sonata 2.7 307,631 miles changed oxygen sensors once and timiming belt twice, drive belt twice& speed sensor once.
Good to hear all this. My Mrs just bought a 2007 v6 from an older couple and was worried it had 79k miles on it for 4300 in almost mint condition with the engine bay looking like brand new showroom quality. Boy will she be happy to hear she has got alot of miles to go compared to you all. I see its an old thread but googled high mileage sonata and found this thread. Now i am wanting one lol
I'm now up to 285,000 plus on my 2002 Sonata
211000 on a 2010
Im about to purchase a 2007 Hyundai Sonata..with 217056..for $6000 i test drove it and i loved how it drove so i was know is it worth it? And are they reliable vehicles?
my dad got a brand new 2006 sonata V6 in september 2005 and still drives it. it just passed 600,000 kms (372,822mi) and honestly hes not even a "car guy" he just changes the oil when the sticker says and just maintains it like a normal person. also he never slams the gas or does impulsive things lol he uses it for transportation not fun and its done its job. im 25 now and also drive a hyundai. 2010 gen coupe and i plan on driving mine like he drove his. those cars are troopers
My 2006 LX V6 has 318,000 on it. It's been an amazing car! Had two Camry's prior ('92 & '99) and while both were great cars, they lasted only a little over 100,000 miles. Go Hyundai.
06 sonata v6 gls. Have 99973 miles on it. That's why I looked this up haha. Replaced my squeaky control arm brushings, a leaking valve cover gasket, and a door handle. That's not bad considering I drive the living s**t out of it when I do drive it. I don't plan on changing my driving, so I don't plan on getting TOO many miles out of it.
2006 Sonata GLS 2.4: 413,000 miles. 2009 Sonata GLS 2.4: 215,000 miles. Except for regular maintenance items and 1 leaking radiator, all original and without issues. Both with continuous Hyundai dealership maintenance according to schedule (usually around $50 per tune up). Our next car if we ever need one? A Hyundai Sonata, preferable the 'old' (NF) one.
2011 Sonata 2.0 has 270,000+ kms. No issues, replaced regular wear items as needed. Did new spark plugs at around 200,000 preemptively. The mechanic said the originals still looked pretty good when I had them replaced. Also did the serpentine belt at around 240,000, again preventive change. I use high mileage oil and have gotten oil changed approximately every 6000 km. Was burning some oil, until I started using Quaker state high mileage, that reduced burn off significantly (the owners manuel (Canadian Manuel)actually calls for Quaker state. Other than that the car has been great, driven it all across US and Canada, even into Mexico once.
122000 on a 2011
2010 Sonata at 143,000k. I'm so glad to see so many people well beyond this mark....it gives me a lot of hope for the future of my car.
I have 121000 on a 2013 sonata.
240,000 on my 2006 sonata v6 Mike
Our 2007 Sonata has 285,000 kms. Has original exhaust system. Had brakes replaced once. No issues whatsoever with this car beyond regular oil & tire changes. Best car we ever owned by far. :)
You are driving a lot. I have over 296K but mine is a 2002.
I have a 12' Genesis coupe with 158k miles, I hope it lasts as long as your guys cars considering the 2.0 turbo is based off of the sonatas 2.4.
I have a 2017 Sonata SE 2.4 and just now at 13,000 miles. I like the car very much but I was concerned about the GDI and carbon deposits on the intake valves. So I'm glad to hear that so many Sonata owners are seeing well over 100k miles with no issues.
192,000 never run better - has never even had the spark plugs changed ! Oil changed every 4000 miles ..
BTW - the info is on a 2008 Hyundai Sonata V6
150k and going strong. changed battery, tires, starter that's all. I don't want to get rid of it, but 150k miles.....lol
2013 Sonata has 175,000 miles, minimal issues reseal oil pan, coupler steering prior to recall but reimbursed, all points checks. Using Mobil 1 Synthetic. I have enjoyed the car, ride, fuel mileage, and hope to drive it thru 2019.
I'm looking at a 2004 sonata that was 192,000 miles for just $900. I was feeling a little apprehensive about it but this thread is giving me a lot of hope.
I have a 2008 Sonata ... with 192000 + and it runs as good as it did when new!!!
I have a 05 Sonata.. just hit 200,000!! I'm impressed with this car. I've only replaced the timing belt, water pump, battery 2xs, fuel pump & mastercylinder. Along with regular maintenance this car is great!!
Just passed 326,000 on 2011 Sonata Hybrid.. Used for car service. On second tranny (changed at 100,000). Original shocks, motor, just about everything. Gets synthetic oil every 7k. Any comments, suggestions on how to keep going trouble free? I'm thinking new plugs soon..
2006 GLS V6 at 288K miles. Original engine, transmission and all accessories things under the hood. Almost identical story to another commenter Squeaky anti roll bar bushing but mechanic didn't say to replace, a leaking valve cover gasket that is fine by me so not fixed, replaced a rear door handle (surprisingly easy), one power window lifter unit (don't try to move frozen windows). Driveability of the engine/transmission is my favorite part of car A kind of noisy front suspension but driving a gravel road every day for past 12 years so kind of expected. I've had a few lower suspension items and a wheel bearing done but don't mind as much since I drive on gravel roads every day. I do oil at 5 to 6 thousand miles. I would re-buy the exact same vehicle again even over newer models/other brands out now. I'm easy on the accelerator/corners/braking but the car still hauls a** if you push the pedal down.
Im at 126k got it 80k
120,000 Miles on my 2007 limited Sonata. Still running strong!! Only “major” issue I’ve had is the right drivers shock needs to be lubricated. Other than that, beautiful reliable car
2013, 185,000 miles. Enjoying the gas mileage and Using Mobile 1 synthetic. Taken car of several recalls and reimbursed for the coupler. Oil Pan reseal, changed battery, and tires. It has been a great car and hope to drive it thru 2019.
2006. 291.00 mile Runs like new.
