I have a 2019 Santa Fe Highlander.

I have a 2019 Santa Fe Highlander. Every time we open the rear hatch it goes
up 2/3 of the way and then continually closes.

Read the owners manual on setting the height of the hatch for when it opens, this can be adjusted using the close and or open buttons. If you are still having a problem, it is time for a visit to the Hyundai dealer service department.
