If it is totally flat I wouldn't do it you could blow the lighter circuit, it is always best to charge a flat battery using a direct connection.

is there a problem opening the hood to get to the battery? Tennisshoes is right about the amperage and polarity...a 15 amp fuse (quite large) because some people like to run camping appliances off of this socket~ Flat---you mean like soda with no fizz left in it?....figure out what drained it dead...because your newly charged one will see the same problem~

thinking that your battery is OLD and with the COLD cannot put the cold- cranking-amps out anymore....so get a new battery would be my recommendation~

hey Tom...there are skads of 12Volt goodies to plug into that socket~~as you can see I'm still here despite having shoes thrown at me....and my wife think this is akin to viewing porn all day long...achem, there is a distinct difference here, dear~!

value beautiful cars more than beautiful women~
