Insert the key into the ignition to the on position without cranking the engine. Press and hold the defrost and recirculated air buttons simultaneously. Hold down for 5-10 sec. or until the LED lights on both buttons start flashing. Wait a min. for the LED lights to stop flashing. Then turn off the car. Wait another min. and then start the car engine again.

mine did not start flashing. I cannot get the auto and ec lights to turn off and so the a/c does not kick in.
