Chevrolet 2004 truck. The truck's indicator states "loss of power" and the truck runs about 20 miles an hour. Happens sporadically. What could it be?

It probably is the sending unit on the gas pedal or the throttle control unlike most cars you don't have a cable directly to the throttle it is all electrical I would check pricing on junk yards since they are not as expensive
