Is a turbo 350 transmission big enough for a 454?

Asked by Sep 04, 2014 at 11:35 AM about the Chevrolet C/K 3500

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 78 one ton that had a small block 350 in it and has blown up. I was wandering if the transmission could handle a 454 bb.

It can if you only drive like it had a 350 engine in it, but too improve driveability put in a turbo 400 or a B&M tranny.

What do yo mean. B-m. The whole tranny. Or a kit. ? I got a turbo 350, non lock up. .an was told to put the kit .in it. Also. ?,
