how can you tell the difference of a 2007 infiniti base and a 2007 infiniti sport?

Asked by May 16, 2013 at 10:07 AM about the INFINITI M35

Question type: General

One dealership had a picture of a 2007 Infiniti Sport with the emblem on the trunk M35 S.  Other dealerships who claim to have a sport model has the emblem M35.

I think all cars have the emblem on the back deck lid. The Sport trim trades wood accents for aluminum ones and adds rear active steering, sport-tuned suspension, upgraded wheels, adaptive xenon HID headlamps and front sport seats with larger bolstering.

First, the badge will have M35/45-S or G35/45-S. The "S" will be in red. They come standard with 19" wheels which is a dead giveaway. You won't find a separate listing in NADA or Kelly because the sport package is an option just like the technology package is an option.

I have a 2006 M45 S and it did not come with the S on the trunk. I wound up buying the emblem and having it installed (silly but I like having it on there). I believe they started putting the S on in 2007. For the Sport, as oldtimer37 stated, the 19" wheels are one of the giveaways, also the headlights will have a blacked out background compared to the standard M and the dash trim will be a machined metal (more "sporty" look) rather than wood. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/infiniti-m45-sport-road-test I’ve really enjoyed this car (bought it with 19K miles and have 112K on it now). Fun to drive, comfortable for longer trips and a joy to drive around winding roads.
