has someone put water in there after a hose failure? water will rust you up lickety-split....sometimes beyond reconciliation. Not suggesting that you do this, but your could run WITHOUT the thermostat....back in Wisconsin we'd do anything to keep the sun-floor rust beauties alive~

of course correct operating temperature will NOT be achieved if this practice is done, more of a burnt engine prevention~

ethylene glycol will kill your creature buddies, so is best to capture the trailings from your coolant flush in 5 gallon buckets, take them to the autoparts store...they'll pull any glycol out of there with their special "coolant recovery" machine~

What type of oil does a 2002 cadillac DTS take and how much?
