My 1986 v.w cabriolet karman wulfbug edition isn't holding fuel pressure it starts then dies I drove it about 4miles jumped back in it drove to store when I went to go home it wouldn't start

and has some high voltage plastic thing on
hood that looks like a tennis ball holder

ok quick question. Does it have a fuel injection system which sits ontop of your air box or is it carberated. If it has the injection system that thing was a nightmare and preaty much guarantied to be your issue. If you can get it rebuilt and cleaned out. Be sure to get al new ruber rings and have a vw specialist do the work cause its a pain in the ass to get it back into place jsut right.
