What is the advantage of an 8 speed and a tow package on a 2015 Dodge Ram

what would be the advantage or disadvantage of an 8 speed and a tow package, if I will not be towing but do live in the Midwest with snow

If you do not tow, no advantage whatsoever. The tow package is an auxiliary transmission cooler, a engine oil cooler, stiffer suspension, and I'm not sure what else. But gets expensive if not needed. The 8-speed is kinda cool, but again only really needed for towing, and I mean towing very heavy loads. There are NO disadvantages. Only cost.

To me all of those FordNut listed would be an advantage, and the 8 speed. Would be very good for fuel mileage as the computer would seek out the optimum shift point for every gear, but like he sat and the disadvantage would be the cost of repairing something like that if and when it fails, and it will fail at some point.
