What is going on with my transmission?

Asked by Nov 03, 2013 at 10:40 AM about the Dodge Ram 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 automatic with 10225 miles (easy miles) Transmission was professionally serviced @ 95K with no issues. @ 99K it began to not shift down to Low at a stop then seemed to leave in second. This was intermittant. and went away and then would return. Now @ 102225 miles it has returned and the transmission slips in drive @ 25 / 300 rpm when accelerated. suggestions to correct please.
Thanks,
Don

But serviced, do you mean a fluid and filter change? Slipping is not a good thing, have it looked at sooner than later. It could be some fluid leaked out, and your low on fluid or it's getting close to rebuilding time.
