how does the vacuum diagram hok up on 4.7 2003 dodge truck

Diaphragm is attached to an arm that drives a coupling. This coupling slides on a splined shaft in the front axle that is split. When you select 4 wheel drive the coupling is moved by diaphragm and connects the two halfs of the shaft together
