I have a 1996 Dodge ram 1500 4+4 it won't. back up it goes forward but no reverse the reverse is like neutral I can even put it in 4 wheel drive with it being in Reverse

I have a 1991 Dodge Ram W150. I have put a cap, rotor button, ignition coil, and pickup coil and still no fire and the truck won't start all it does is cranks. Please help what could be my problem. 1 answer
A guy at orielys told me it was the ignition control module. So we bought the part and have looked the truck over and never did find a part that looks like that.
