Asked by mmd2205 Dec 01, 2014 at 10:26 AM about the Dodge Durango

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Durango has started having a very bad vibration while driving.  not sure if it is in the
transmission or if it could be tire related. The steering wheel "shakes" and the seats also
shake.  Any ideas?

First, make sure you don't have mud or snow packed in your wheel and that your lug nuts aren't loose. Then, get your alignment checked. If your alignment is fine, get your wheels balanced.

Have you had any work done to your Durango like a tire rotation prior to the vibration. The same thing has happened to my brand new 2014 Durango after tire rotation by dealership at 6,500 miles.

Thanks for the answers, got the tires balanced and aligned and the issue went away.
