how do i correctly bleed the brakes

had a bad brake line,i replaced it now my brakes only work when i pump them?

Still sounds like air in the system, check for a bleeder screw on your ABS unit, I've seen air get trapped in there, if you don't have a one man brake bleeder tool it is well worth it to buy one for bleeding brakes.
