1975 8cyl chevy truck

Question type: General

Replaced carb and fuel filter (inline)
Truck will start but sputters and dies.
Is there a brain in this truck. Or what
could br the problem

Could be several things, first could be the fuel pump. Pressure should be like 4 to 6 lbs. Next is to check the rotor, they burn out on the underneath side to ground. And did you get the new carb set up? Idle mixture screws, idle, choke. and have you looked to make sure it is not flooding out?
