Hydraulic clutch system

Asked by Oct 13, 2016 at 01:58 AM about the Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had to replace my starter on my 93 Chevy
Silverado K 1500. I couldn't get it out of
there without removing the slave cylinder by
the clutch. I damage the slave cylinder so I
went and bought a new one and it looks
totally different then the one I took off.
AutoZone sad to buy this brake bleeder it's
supposed to be Universal I guess but none
of the attachments fit in the bleeder. Is there
a certain kind of bleeder I need to buy? And I
can't get any pressure out of my clutch
without bleeding it right? And I damage the
old one by not lining it up right so when I
went to test my starter by starting my truck I
felt a pop in the clutch and it went straight to
the floorboard. So I took that back out but it
was broke all to hell. So I went and bought a
new one and it looks totally different is that
normal? Last question for now is how do I
bleed the slave cylinder?
