I just had an oil change, now my oil gauge goes to the red when at a stop, then raises only when I am pressing the accelerator. What is the cause and how do I fix this?

Check oil level.

Did that. Thanks

assuming oil level is correct, and problem was not there before the oil change, sounds like a lower viscosity oil was used. my suggestion is 1) replace with higher viscosity oil, (10w-30 or 40) or 2) drop a bottle of Lucas oil stabilizer into the oil and call it a day.
