Question # 2 for replacing a blown 1991 4.3 chevy vortec with a 1989 305 chevy from a camaro?
I have a 1982 cj8 scrambler with a 4.3 vortec from a 1991 s10 blazer and it is
blown . I have a chevy 305 TBI from a 1989 camaro . Will the computer from
the 4.3 work for the 305 ? Note , I have the computer from the camaro 305 as
well . Can the two computer's be swapped in place with the existing wiring
harness from the 4.3 ? Any help is greatly appreciated . Thank you all.
You need the correct wiring harness and computer for the V8. You do know the 4.3 is a 6 cylinder?
The 4.3L is a 6 cylinder, and the 305 is a V8 so you would have to use the computer for the V8 along with the wiring harness. Unless you make it carberated and hooked everything up old school.
Since it is not the stock motor, I would change the intake and go with a carburetor. Easy to find a intake and cab.
