Clunky sound when shifting into R or D

Could this be a U-joint on a 98 Lumina? If so, is this an expensive fix on
these cars? I know it wasn't years ago on the 70's cars.

Lumina's are FWD, so no U-joints. The clunk could be a failed trans or motor mount.
