Nope, different engines and body styles. The 09 either has a 3.5, 3.9 or 3.6 vvt engine. The 01 either has a 3.4 or 3.8 liter. Don't get me wrong I'm talking direct engine swaps. With enough time, tools, knowledge and money anything is possible but still cheaper to just buy the newer impala.
