2004 Impala Heater Not Working, but blower does

Asked by Dec 06, 2013 at 01:08 PM about the Chevrolet Impala

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Impala blower works fine; however, no heat.  AC is fine, but not sure which way
to go, and neither driver, nor passenger work. Suggestions?

Check the coolant level. If the coolant is low, it will cause air to get trapped in the cooling system, so it can't pump the hot coolant through the heater core. Remove the radiator cap, top off the coolant, put the radiator cap back on, fill the reservoir, then bleed the air out of the system from the bleed screw located on top of the thermostat housing on the right side of the engine where the heater hose goes out to the radiator. If this problem happens again, look for coolant leaks.
