I have a 1982 z28 with twin fuel injection. There is a popping sound coming from the driver side injector and the light is on. Any reason why?

Wow is it a crossfire injection car? Have the code checked at Autozone or similar. I'm thinking that the injector is probably in need of cleaning or replacement. If the injectors are original they're 32 years old I'd clean both or replace both.
